Regular Season Round 15: TBB Trier - EWE Baskets 71-65

An interesting game took place in Trier where higher ranked EWE Baskets (9-5) were upseton the court of thirteenth ranked TBB Trier (6-9) 71-65. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-16. But EWE Baskets won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when TBB Trier won last quarter 21-16. It was a good game for Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-91, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jermaine Anderson (188-83, college: Fordham) contributed with 15 points for the winners. point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania) added 12 points in the effort for EWE Baskets. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TBB Trier moved-up to twelfth place. EWE Baskets at the other side keep the fifth position with five games lost. TBB Trier's next round opponent will be Walter Tigers (#17) in Tuebingen which should be theoretically an easy game. EWE Baskets will play on the road against BG Goettingen (#10) and hope to win that game.
