Seventh ranked Galatasaray (7-6) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging much higher ranked Darussafaka (9-4) 79-77 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Arroyo (188-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) nailed 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and American center Patric Young (206-92, college: Florida) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Jamon Lukas Gordon (191-84, college: Virginia Tech) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Darussafaka in the defeat. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach Oktay Mahmudi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Galatasaray moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Karsiyaka. Newly promoted Darussafaka dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
