Regular Season Round 18: Oberwart - Gussing 82-88

Date: December 28, 2014
The game in Oberwart was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Gussing Knights (12-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (8-10). Gussing Knights managed to secure a 6-point victory 88-82 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Redwell Gunners Oberwart. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 6 points. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Bulgarian forward Aleksandar Georgiev (203-90, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Rakeem Buckles (201-90, college: FIU) did not help to save the game for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points. Redwell Gunners Oberwart's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Wels. Loser Redwell Gunners Oberwart keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Arkadia. Gussing Knights will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play again against Gussing Knights (#4) and hope to secure a win.
