The game with biggest result difference took place in Utena. Local Juventus (12-6) beat 9th ranked Lietkabelis (6-13) 78-61 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Juventus. Lietkabelis managed to win third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Russian forward Nikita Barinov (203-91) stepped up and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and forward Arvydas Siksnius (196-87, college: Weatherford JC) chipped in 15 points. The best for the losing side was naturalized Canadian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) with 18 points and Russian center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Juventus maintains fourth place with 12-6 record. Loser Lietkabelis keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Juventus will meet at home league's second-placed Neptunas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lietkabelis will play against Mazeikiai (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
