Regular Season Round 13: Anadolu Efes - Fener.Ulker 85-67

There was a change at the TBL leadership position after last games. Round 13 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker (10-3). They were defeated by second ranked Anadolu Efes (10-3) 85-67 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fenerbahce Ulker. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Anadolu Efes. Fenerbahce Ulker managed to win second period 29-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anadolu Efes shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Greek Stratos Perperoglou (203-84) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Matt Janning (197-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Serbian Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Czech forward Jan Vesely (213-90) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fener.Ulker and Besiktas. Fenerbahce Ulker will play next round against strong Darussafaka trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul - Darussafaka. Anadolu Efes will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Besiktas in Istanbul.
