No shocking result in a game when third ranked Brose Baskets (13-3) smashed on the road 9th ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-9) 69-50 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. BBC Bayreuth was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Brose Baskets' coach Andrea Trinchieri used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) produced 8 points and 8 rebounds and forward Javon McCrea (201-92, college: Buffalo) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Brose Baskets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with B.Muenchen. Loser BBC Bayreuth keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Brose Baskets will face league's second-placed Bayern Muenchen at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BBC Bayreuth will play against BG Goettingen (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
