The game without a history. Svendborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Svendborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Vaerlose's players. American point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) supported him with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) did not help to save the game for Vaerlose. Swingman David Knudsen (193-94) added 15 points for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svendborg have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Vaerlose keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Svendborg will meet at home Wolfpack (#4) in the next round. Vaerlose will play against the league's leader Bakken (#1) in Aarhus and hope to secure a win.
