Regular Season Round 15: Utena - Fortuna 86-56

LMKL top team - Utena (15-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Fortuna (7-8) 86-56. The game was mostly controlled by Utena. Fortuna was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Utena forced 23 Fortuna turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international Egle Sulciute (190-85) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. International guard Sandra Linkeviciene (176-82) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Four Utena players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) with 21 points and 9 rebounds and international swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Fortuna's coach Ramune Kumpiene gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Utena have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-0 record. Fortuna lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Utena will play against Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Fortuna will play against Jaunieji Talentai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
