Regular Season Round 16: Vechta - Finke Baskets 80-65

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked SC Rasta Vechta (9-7) defeated at home 12th ranked Finke Baskets (6-10) 80-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. SC Rasta Vechta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) who helped to win the game recording 31 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Vincent Bailey (196-91, college: Lincoln Memorial) who added 18 points during the contest. SC Rasta Vechta's coach Stephen Arigbabu used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Morgan Grim (204-88, college: Utah St.) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian point guard Ty Nurse (185-90, college: Texas Tech) scored 11 points and 4 assists. SC Rasta Vechta maintains eighth position with 9-7 record. Loser Finke Baskets keep the twelfth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Chemnitz. SC Rasta Vechta will meet bottom-ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Finke Baskets will play against Science City Jena (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
