Regular Season Round 17: EWE Baskets - Telekom Bsk 87-76 OT

Date: January 4, 2015
Telekom Baskets (#6) forced the game against EWE Baskets (#5) into an overtime, but lost by eleven points 76-87 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Telekom Baskets. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 18-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 11-point victory in overtime. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when EWE Baskets made 7 blocks. American power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points. His fellow American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Lithuanian forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Telekom Baskets. Telekom Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. EWE Baskets (11-5) moved-up to fourth place. Telekom Baskets at the other side keep the sixth position with seven games lost. EWE Baskets will face Braunschweig (#11) in Braunschweig in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Telekom Baskets will play at home against Crailsheim Merlins (#18) and hope to win that game.
