Regular Season Round 10: Fenerbahce - Botas 50-58

The most important game in the last round took place in Istanbul between third ranked Fenerbahce (7-3) and sixth ranked Botas (6-4) on Sunday night. Fenerbahce was defeated by Botas in a tough game at home 50-58. The game without a history. Botas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Pelin Bilgic (175-94) chipped in 14 points. The former international center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Botas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Besiktas. Fenerbahce lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Botas is looking forward to face Adana ASKI (#7) in Mersin in the next round. Fenerbahce will play on the road against Hatay and is hoping to win this game.
