Rather expected game in Klaipeda where 7th ranked Jaunieji Talentai (4-12) was crushed by fifth ranked Fortuna (8-8) 79-57 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Fortuna. Jaunieji Talentai managed to win third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fortuna forced 25 Jaunieji Talentai turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. International Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Laura Juskaite (186-97) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Austeja Sirsinaityte (168-95) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fortuna maintains fifth position with 8-8 record. Jaunieji Talentai lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Fortuna will meet higher ranked Kibirkstis-VICI (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jaunieji Talentai will play against Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
