Regular Season Round 15: Saarlouis - Schwelm 67-77

Very expected game when 12th ranked Saarlouis (3-11) were defeated at home by sixth ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (8-6) 77-67 on Sunday. It was a great evening for center Sebastian Schroter (207-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Max Massing (203-93) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Ricky Easterling (188-83, college: Bridgewater) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import Karl Moore (203-87, college: Culver Stockton) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. SG Schwelmer Baskets moved-up to fifth place in Group South. Newly promoted Saarlouis keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face higher ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saarlouis will play against White Wings (#7) in Hanau and hope to win that game.
