Everything went according to plan when third ranked Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (9-3) outplayed at home 12th ranked Trier (1-11) 100-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Trier's 22. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg forced 27 Trier turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Canadian guard Debbie Yeboah (168) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Margret Pfister (182-86) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Ladybaskets Wuerzburg players scored in double figures. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg's coach Janet Fowler-Michel felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Leonie Edringer (182-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Sabrina Thomas (163-87) added 6 points in the effort for Trier. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South with 9-3 record behind leader Osnabruck. Newly promoted Trier dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg will face TSV Amicitia (#8) in Viernheim in the next round where they are favorite.
