The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Bakken (14-2) on the court of ninth ranked Horsholm on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Horsholm 107-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bakken. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Bakken's 48. They outrebounded Bakken 42-27 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Horsholm looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bakken's players. American guard Derek Semenas (190, college: Cardinal Stritch) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 assists. American-Dominican center Alejandro Rodriguez (206-88, college: Iona, agency: Duran International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. The former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-79, college: Oregon) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Estonian forward Kaido Saks (207-86, agency: Blacktop Management) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bakken. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsholm (4-13) moved-up to eighth place. Defending champion Bakken still keeps top position with two games lost. Horsholm are looking forward to face higher ranked SISU (#6) in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bakken will play on the road against Naestved (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
