Very predictable result when second ranked CSM Targoviste (15-3) rolled over on the road 9th ranked Satu Mare (8-10) 93-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by CSM Targoviste. Satu Mare managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Selena Kirberg (178-95) supported her with 18 points. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by Flavia Ferenczi (175-91) did not help to save the game for Satu Mare. The former international swingman Andreea Orosz (183-86) added 14 points. Five CSM Targoviste and four Satu Mare players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second position with 15-3 record behind leader Sf.Gheorghe, which they share with Alba Iulia. Loser Satu Mare dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Timisoara. CSM Targoviste will meet at home bottom-ranked Rapid (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Satu Mare will play against Timisoara (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
