Second Stage Round 2: Delikatesas - Palanga 64-57

Fourteenth defeat of league's leader Palanga (14-14) against Delikatesas (14-13) 64-57 was the most important game of the last round. Palanga trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 22-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-64 at the end of the game. Delikatesas forced 21 Palanga turnovers. Strangely Palanga outrebounded Delikatesas 48-31 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Center Nerijus Anglickis (214-90) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Center Adomas Drungilas (204-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Povilas Sakinis (199-80) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Palanga. Palanga will play next round against strong Zalgiris II trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Delikatesas will try to continue on its current victory against Rasai at home.
