Regular Season Round 11: Crnomelj - Ajdovscina 85-59

Fifth ranked Crnomelj (7-4) crushed at home 11th ranked Ajdovscina (2-9) by 26 points 85-59, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Crnomelj. Ajdovscina managed to win third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ajdovscina 38-21 including a 27-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Nejc Zupan (203-96) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Crt Ristic (182-89) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Crnomelj players scored in double figures. Swingman Luka Snoj (200-90) produced 9 points and forward Boris Cretnik (197-81) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Crnomelj moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Parklji. Ajdovscina lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Crnomelj will meet at home league's second-placed Terme Olimia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ajdovscina will play against Geoplin Slovan (#6) in Ljubljana and hope to secure a win.
