Tenth-ranked Nevezis (3-20) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked P.Zvaigzdes (11-10) in Kedainiai. The visitors from Pasvalys managed to secure only six-point victory 94-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-13 Nevezis' run in the last quarter tied the game, leading to overtime which they eventually won 15-9. Forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Alex Oriakhi (206-90, college: Connecticut) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four P.Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. P.Zvaigzdes' coach Mantas Sernius allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Rod Camphor (190-92, college: SW Oklahoma St.) responded with 24 points and 5 assists and forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for P.Zvaigzdes. They maintain sixth place with 11-10 record. Nevezis lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 20 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will play against higher ranked Juventus (#4) in Utena in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nevezis will play at home against Tonybet (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
