Leading Gmunden Swans (15-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (11-10) 88-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Gmunden Swans. It looked good early as Gmunden Swans took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Redwell Gunners Oberwart took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. Redwell Gunners Oberwart made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game, while Gmunden Swans only scored four points from the stripe. American swingman J.J. Mann (198-91, college: Belmont) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 22 points and 7 assists. Four Redwell Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Dorian Green (188-91, college: Colorado St.) with 23 points and 5 assists and international forward Enis Murati (194-88) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. They maintain sixth place with 11-10 record, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Gmunden Swans at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play against league's leader Zepter Vienna in Wien in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gmunden Swans will play on the road against UBSC Graz and hope to get back on the winning track.
