No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked BC Timisoara (7-6) beat at home 12th ranked Timba Timosoara (3-11) 90-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Timisoara. Timba Timosoara managed to win fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Timisoara looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Bosnian point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 assists. Bosnian Dalibor Persic (196-85) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (207-83) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Ivan Miskovic (203-84, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Duran International) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Timba Timosoara in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Timisoara moved-up to sixth place, which they share with U-Banca TR and Rovinari. Loser Timba Timosoara keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. BC Timisoara will meet at home CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (#8) in the next round. Timba Timosoara will have a break next round.
