It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rotenburg/Scheessel. The game without a history. TSV 1880 Wasserburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TSV 1880 Wasserburg outrebounded Rotenburg/Scheessel 52-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and Finnish forward Tiina Sten (188-85, college: St.John's, agency: Regeneracom Sports) supported her with 17 points. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by American power forward Kierra Mallard (190-90, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Rotenburg/Scheessel. The former international guard Pia Mankertz (170-90) added 13 points and 4 steals for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rotenburg/Scheessel keeps the fifth place with six games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's next round opponent will be league's second-placed TV Saarlouis Royals on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play against Fireballs and hope to win that game.
