Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Muenchen B. (1-12) lost at home to sixth ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (8-5) 70-52 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by ASC Theresianum Mainz. Muenchen B. was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Muenchen B. to just 5 points in second quarter. It was a very good performance for Czech guard Karolina Jandova (181-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Katharina Feil (189-91) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Tanja Lehnert (186-92) answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ann-Kathrin Neumann (175-92) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Muenchen B.Muenchen B.'s coach Christian Maier rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. ASC Theresianum Mainz maintains sixth place in South with 8-5 record. Muenchen B. lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. ASC Theresianum Mainz will face Trier (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Muenchen B. will play against the league's second-placed Don Bosco Bamberg and hope to win that game.
