Second Stage Round 3: Delikatesas - Rasai 61-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Delikatesas (14-14) in Joniskis on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Rasai (13-15) 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Rasai. Delikatesas managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Delikatesas to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for center Karolis Guscikas (205-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Darius Marcinkevicius (201-91) helped adding 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Rasai's coach Albertas Vilimas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Aivaras Galkauskas (203-91) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Rasai are looking forward to face JAZZ-Diremta (#7) in Kaunas in the next round. Delikatesas will play on the road against Zalgiris II (#3) in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
