The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Seawolves (11-7) on the court of twelfth ranked USC Leipzig on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by USC Leipzig 66-53. USC Leipzig forced 19 Seawolves turnovers. American-Honduran guard Christopher Flores (188-90, college: NJIT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 steals. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bulgarian forward Ivo Slavchev (198-90) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Sven Hellmann (187-83) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Seawolves. USC Leipzig (8-9) moved-up to eighth place in Group North, which they share with Itzehoe and BSW Sixers. Seawolves lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team still keep top position with seven games lost. USC Leipzig is looking forward to face higher ranked SC Rist Wedel (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Seawolves will play against DRUFF! and are hoping to win this game.
