Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked ETB Wohnbau (11-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Oettinger Rockets Gotha (13-6) 63-52 on Saturday. It was a great evening for naturalized Russian forward Albert Kuppe (200-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. American guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St.) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Oettinger Rockets Gotha players scored in double figures. Oettinger Rockets Gotha's coach Chris Ensminger used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) responded with 22 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Oettinger Rockets Gotha maintains third place with 13-6 record having four points less than leader s.Oliver Baskets, which they share with Heidelberg and Nuernberg. Loser ETB Wohnbau keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Hamburg. Oettinger Rockets Gotha will meet league's leader s Oliver Baskets in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
