Regular Season Round 14: Horsholm - Stevnsgade 75-80

Very significant was Stevnsgade's (#3, 8-3) victory against second-ranked Horsholm (8-4) 80-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Stevnsgade made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Horsholm turnovers. Strangely Horsholm outrebounded Stevnsgade 34-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) scored 15 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Stevnsgade and five Horsholm players scored in double figures. Stevnsgade have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Horsholm at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Stevnsgade are looking forward to face SISU (#5) in Copenhagen in the next round. Horsholm will have a break next round.
