Very expected game when 9th ranked Satu Mare (8-12) was crushed at home by fourth ranked ICIM Arad (15-4) 76-52. The game without a history. ICIM Arad led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Satu Mare's 36. American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Ildiko Nagy (187-84) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. ICIM Arad's coach Jose Araujo felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Flavia Ferenczi (175-91) replied with 12 points and 4 assists and swingman Bianca Voica (170-91) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Satu Mare. ICIM Arad have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Alba Iulia. Satu Mare lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. ICIM Arad's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Rapid (#14) in Bucuresti which should be another easy win for them. Satu Mare will play on the road against Alexandria (#6) and hope to win that game.
