There was a surprise result in Oldenburg where tenth ranked BG Goettingen (9-10) smashed higher ranked EWE Baskets (11-7) 88-69 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BG Goettingen's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-13 extending their advantage to 19 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to EWE Baskets' 26 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game.
