No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Istanbul Universitesi (10-3) smashed at home bottom-ranked Osmaniye (2-11) 91-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. Istanbul Universitesi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Osmaniye's 32. They outrebounded Osmaniye 45-27 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Istanbul Universitesi looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Nevin Nevlin (193-85, college: Stanford) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Croatian swingman Ana Lelas (183-83, agency: Fly Basketball) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Brazilian center Kelly Santos (192-79, agency: Fly Basketball) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbul Universitesi moved-up to second place, which they share with Abdullah Gul and Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Osmaniye dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Istanbul Universitesi will face league's second-placed Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osmaniye will play at home against Orduspor (#9) and hope to win that game.
