Bottom-ranked Spartak Pleven (0-13) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to third ranked Levski Sofia (9-5) 88-80 on Tuesday evening. Spartak Pleven trailed by 23 points at halftime and as many as 27 after three quarters before a 33-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 80-88 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was international Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Aleks Simeonov (200-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Krum Doychinov (206-86, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the former international power forward Ivan Tilev (204-79) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains third place with 9-5 record having three points less than leader Lukoil Acad. Spartak Pleven lost their thirteenth game in a row.
