Regular Season Round 19: Horsholm - Wolfpack 81-84

Eighth-ranked Horsholm (5-14) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Wolfpack (12-5) on Wednesday. The visitors from Copenhagen managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Horsholm. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Horsholm outrebounded Wolfpack 44-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Forward Andreas Amundsen (200-92) fired 24 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. The former international forward Casper Hesseldal (198-85, college: Dickinson St.) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Daniel Mortensen (203-94) produced 15 points and 7 assists and American guard Rob Fields (185-88, college: Catawba) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Horsholm's coach Miguel Angel Hoyo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wolfpack moved-up to third place. Horsholm at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Wolfpack are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Aalborg (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Horsholm will play against Randers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
