Very predictable result when second ranked CSM Targoviste (18-3) outscored on the road 12th ranked Craiova (3-18) 94-51. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Craiova's 24 and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. CSM Targoviste forced 35 Craiova turnovers and outrebounded them 41-21 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Porchia Green (180-87, college: Ball St.) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five CSM Targoviste players scored in double figures. Coach Dan Fleseriu's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian Marija Radovic (186-91) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Irina Bors (178-88) added 11 points in the effort for Craiova. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for CSM Targoviste. Defending champion maintains second place with 18-3 record behind leader Sf.Gheorghe. Craiova lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. CSM Targoviste will play against Galati (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Craiova will play against Timisoara (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
