Regular Season Round 18: Fraport SKY II - Langen 88-67

Date: January 31, 2015
Rather predictable result in Frankfurt where eighth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (8-9) smashed 10th ranked TV Langen (6-11) 88-67. Fraport Skyliners II players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Johannes Richter (206-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian point guard Kyle Fossman (183-91, college: Alaska-Anch.) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Indian-American point guard Anish Sharda (188-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) added 14 points in the effort for TV Langen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fraport Skyliners II maintains eighth position in Group South with 8-9 record. TV Langen at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Fraport Skyliners II's next round opponent will be league's leader Iserlohn at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TV Langen will play against Licher Basket (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
