We should mention about the upset which took place in Bursa, where higher ranked Torku Konyaspor (7-10) was outleveled in a road game by fifteenth ranked Tofas (6-11) 75-47. The game without a history. Tofas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Torku Konyaspor turnovers and outrebounded them 39-20 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists for the winning side and Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Tofas players scored in double figures. American forward Hakim Warrick (204-82, college: Syracuse) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (194-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 9 points respectively for Torku Konyaspor in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tofas moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Royal Hali and Usak. Torku Konyaspor at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Tofas' next round opponent will be league's leader Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
