Everything went according to plan when second ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (14-1) outleveled on the road 12th ranked Trier (1-14) 82-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Don Bosco Bamberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Trier to just 6 points in third quarter. Don Bosco Bamberg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trier's 30. They outrebounded Trier 45-19 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Estonian guard Liisi Sokman (166-88) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Katharina Groeger (166-90) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Leonie Edringer (182-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Iris Jodes (179-86) added 7 points respectively. Don Bosco Bamberg have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Keltern. Trier lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg will face Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Trier will play against the league's leader Gruner Stern Keltern (#1) and hope to win that game.
