Everything went according to plan in Bad Aibling where third ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (12-4) beat bottom-ranked Fireballs (2-14) 61-46 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TV Saarlouis Royals. Fireballs was better in third quarter 10-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TV Saarlouis Royals forced 21 Fireballs turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Kellindra Zackery (183-88, college: Newman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four TV Saarlouis Royals players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian forward Abbey Duinker (190-91) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Carla Bellscheidt (183-94) scored 11 points. TV Saarlouis Royals maintains third position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Wasserburg. Newly promoted Fireballs stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. TV Saarlouis Royals will face Rotenburg/Scheessel (#5) at home in the next round. Fireballs will play against TH Wohnbau Angels (#4) in Noerdlingen and hope to win that game.
