Regular Season Round 18: Seawolves - Braunschweig 93-86

ProB top team - Seawolves (12-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked DRUFF! (9-10) in Rostock 93-86. Seawolves shot 27 for 36 from the free-throw line, while DRUFF! only scored six points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by DRUFF! helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Danish center Jens Hakanowitz (204-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Dominique Johnson (194-92, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Martin Bogdanov (183-92) added 23 points, 5 assists and 6 steals in the effort for DRUFF!. Five Seawolves and four DRUFF! players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Seawolves maintains first position in Group North with 12-7 record. DRUFF! lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Seawolves' next round opponent will be Hertener Loewen (#13) on the road which should be an easy win for them. DRUFF! will play against Magdeburg (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
