Everything went according to plan when first ranked Zolotoi Vek (11-3) outplayed on the road bottom-ranked Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya (1-13) 95-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zolotoi Vek led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya's 28. They outrebounded Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya 48-28 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zolotoi Vek looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zolotoi Vek made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for center Yevgen Vornik (209-86) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks. Power forward Oleksandr Osnach (201-90) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Zolotoi Vek's coach Andrey Bilozerskiy felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Olexiy Solovyov (187-97) replied with 22 points and forward Anatoliy Khytov (200-97) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zolotoi Vek have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Zolotoi Vek maintains first position with 11-3 record. Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Zolotoi Vek will face Khimik-2 (#4) in Yuzhny in the next round.
