Undefeated Spars Sarajevo (15-1) recorded its first loss in Trebinje on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Leotar (12-4) 70-61. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Spars Sarajevo. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Leotar dominated on the defensive end, holding Spars Sarajevo to just 7 points in third quarter. Forward Dejan Sakotic (194-93) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Vladimir Aleksic (198-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Leotar players scored in double figures. Naturalized Serbian forward Nikola Djurasovic (198-83) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Nermin Buza (206-91) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Leotar maintains second position with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Spars Sarajevo. Spars Sarajevo at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Leotar are looking forward to face Sloboda Tuzla (#6) on the road in the next round. Spars Sarajevo will play against Varda HE (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
