The game in Berdiansk was also worth to mention about. Blyskavky (0-2) played at the court of Chaika (1-1). Chaika defeated Blyskavky 79-64. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Chaika's pressure prevailed and they won that period 22-9 extending their advantage to 15 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Blyskavky's 28. They outrebounded Blyskavky 47-26 including a 39-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chaika players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Iryna Tsekova (177-78) who had a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists. Center Olga Yatskovets (183-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Viktoriya Ilchyshyna (168-91) who recorded 25 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Viktoriia Khomiak (171-95) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Chaika's next round opponent will be Frankivsk (#4) in Ivano-Frankivsk. Blyskavky will play at home against Suzirja and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
