Regular Season Round 15: Wolfenbuettel - Gruenberg 74-64

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (11-4) defeated at home 8th ranked Baskets Grunberg (6-9) 74-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. Baskets Grunberg was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard Bjonee Reaves (168-90, college: Cincinnati, agency: LBM Management) who scored 25 points and 5 steals. Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Natascha Heuser (178-82) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Laura Zdravevska (185-97) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Veilchen and Osnabruck. Loser Baskets Grunberg dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel will face league's leader Veilchen in Goettingen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Baskets Grunberg will play at home against Lichterfelde (#6) and hope to win that game.
