We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Weiterstadt (5-10) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Rhein MB II (5-10) 75-62 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-62. The best player for the winners was Jennifer Jusiu who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Mara Greunke (186-91) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Rhein MB II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kristin Annawald (184-93) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and Elisabeth Beiter added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Rhein MB II moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Jahn Muenchen and Weiterstadt. Weiterstadt lost fifth consecutive game. Rhein MB II will face Friendsfactory Germering (#8) at home in the next round.
