Very predictable result when tenth ranked Braunschweig (10-10) won against at home 16th ranked Walter Tigers (6-14) 86-72. The game without a history. Braunschweig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Walter Tigers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Tim Abromaitis (203-89, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who added 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. Braunschweig's coach Raoul Korner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Augustine Rubit (201-89, college: S.Alabama) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jimmy McKinney (192-83, college: Missouri) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Braunschweig have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Goettingen and Art.Dragons. Walter Tigers at the other side keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Braunschweig will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#14) in Weissenfels in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Walter Tigers will play at home against Bayern Muenchen and hope to get back on the winning track.
