Regular Season Round 18: Dresden - Recklinghausen 73-85

Date: February 1, 2015
There was a minor upset in Dresden where 4th ranked Titans (10-9) were defeated by sixth ranked Recklinghausen (10-8) 85-73. 26 personal fouls committed by Titans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American-Italian swingman Joe Scott (192-88, college: St.Thomas) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Antoine Myers (190-90, college: Troy) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Recklinghausen players scored in double figures. American swingman Kevin Butler (194-89, college: Texas Arlington) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) added 18 points in the effort for Titans. Titans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Recklinghausen moved-up to third place in Group North, which they share with Bochum. Titans at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Recklinghausen's next round opponent will be league's second-placed SC Rist Wedel at home and it will be for sure the game of the week.
