Regular Season Round 15: SISU - Aabyhoj 72-80

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Copenhagen where 5th ranked SISU (4-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Aabyhoj (4-8) 80-72 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-72. Aabyhoj made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Nicole Ballestero (173-92, college: Vanguard) who scored 27 points and 5 steals. Guard Sofie Preetzmann (180-95) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Aabyhoj's coach Thomas Johansen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Kiki Lund (177-83, college: Dayton) who recorded 25 points and 6 assists and guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) added 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals respectively. Aabyhoj moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated SISU.
