Regular Season Round 15: Osnabruck - Veilchen 55-60

Date: February 1, 2015
The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Osnabruck (11-4) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Veilchen (11-4) 60-55. It was a key game for the top position in North. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 27-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Nicole Jones (188-89, college: Drexel) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Monique Smalls (168-91, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian swingman Emma Duinker (182-89) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Osnabruck's coach Christian Kaiser rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Veilchen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Wolfenbuettel and Osnabruck. Veilchen is looking forward to face Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Osnabruck will play against Hannover and is hoping to win this game.
