Second Stage Round 1: Horsholm - Stevnsgade 76-50

An interesting game for Horsholm (1-0) which hosted in Horsholm Stevnsgade (0-1). Horsholm had an easy win 76-50. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stevnsgade to just 0 points in fourth quarter and to 6 points in second half. Horsholm forced 21 Stevnsgade turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Joy Burke (196-90, college: Arizona St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Amalie Bonde (167-89) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Horsholm's coach Roberto Velosa felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Cecilie Homann (185-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Horsholm will play against Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stevnsgade will play at home against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
