Regular Season Round 23: Zepter Vienna - UBSC Graz 111-76

Leader Zepter Vienna delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they crushed 10th ranked UBSC Graz (2-21) 111-76 in Wien. The game without a history. Zepter Vienna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of UBSC Graz shooting 71.0 percent from the field. Zepter Vienna forced 20 UBSC Graz turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. UBSC Graz was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Amin Stevens (201-90, college: Florida A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 17-of-20 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Christoph Nagler (196-84) contributed with 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) answered with 20 points and the former international point guard Sebastian Schaal (189-90) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for UBSC Graz. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zepter Vienna (18-5) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place. UBSC Graz lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Zepter Vienna will play against league's second-placed Gmunden Swans in Gmunden in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play at home against Dukes (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
