NKL top team - Perlas-MRU (25-7) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Nafta-Uni. (17-15) in Vilnius 82-64. The game without a history. Perlas-MRU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perlas-MRU outrebounded Nafta-Uni. 40-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Tadas Rinkunas (195-91) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Four Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. point guard Elvinas Gintvainis (183-92) replied with 13 points and 4 assists and Ignas Vaitkus (196-93) added 10 points in the effort for Nafta-Uni.Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Perlas-MRU maintains first position with 25-7 record. Loser Nafta-Uni. keeps the fifth place with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
